Lyrics

Christmas ‘Round the World V.9 (09/07/26)
by Deb Hackbarth and Mike Turner

[Chorus]:
Christmas all around the world
Yuletide exhibitions
Countries celebrate Christ’s Birth
With their unique traditions

In the U.S. stockings hang filled up with toys and treats
Mexico has family feasts and bright Nativities
England’s crackers pull and pop with crowns, a joke and prize
French children leave shoes to fill with gifts at fireside

[Chorus]

Sweet and nutty gingerbreads are baked in Germany
Hand-blown glassy ornaments are hung from Czechia’s trees
Kenya’s roasted goat delights yield mild yet sav’ry meats
India hangs up mango leaves and shares plum cakes and sweets

[Chorus]

China gift-wraps “peace apples” to wish all a safe year
Philippine star lanterns burn to fill the nights with cheer
It’s Australia’ summertime, cricket and bar-b-que
Fiji feasts on fish and pork, and drinks of kava root

[Chorus]

[Bridge]
Christmas all around the world
One thing’s true thereof
One tradition we all share
Is Christmas Joy and Love!

[Outro]

Christmas all around the world
Christmas all around the world
