Bio – Rebecca Milkwood / Rebecca Thomas

Born in Hampshire to a Midlander and a Welshman, and now living in London with my partner and 3 year old daughter, I work in sourcing for a law firm in the City of London. I started writing broken fragments of songs, poetry and short stories in my teens, but only started to find my voice in my thirties, when I started to crystallise stories and emotions into lyrics and music.

A lyric writer first, my songwriting evolved from poetic musings - feelings formed into lyrics, lyrics took on melodies, and melodies called for their harmonies. Starting with a feeling, songs appear, taking an unknown path through lush harmonies and unplanned instrumentation.
